Apres 30

Things I have not done in 10 weeks:
- Stood up
- Taken a shower
- Washed my hair
- Used a toilet
- Felt the sun on my face
- Pet my cats
- Worn make-up
- Worn underwear
- Made my own food
- Driven a car
- Gone to a movie
- Eaten dinner at a restaurant
- Hugged Kevin standing up
- Seen my house
- Been to work
- Worn shoes
- Woken up to an alarm clock
- Gone to the grocery store

Good things about my current situation:
- I get to hear the baby's heartbeat 4 times a day
- I get to see the baby on ultrasound once a week
- I'm more popular at work
- I'm allowed to take a nap whenever I feel like it
- I can watch People's Court every day
- I've gotten into a lot of new TV shows
- I can concentrate on the baby - how he's kicking, how he's moving, etc.
- I get to talk to my parents almost every day
- I can almost see the bottom of my belly button for the first time
- Everyone keeps telling me I'm doing such a good job and am a miracle, blah blah
- It's almost over!

So anyway, it's Week 30 and I'm still ticking.

The baby is getting so big, I can feel his little body sticking out of my stomach. Sometimes he moves from side to side, and the lump migrates across my body and it is really uncomfortable because I can feel my guts moving around.

I've stood up two times now - amazingly, I can still walk and stand up on my own! It is quite taxing though, and standing up for 5 minutes was quite a work out. I was slighly out of breath afterwards and my calves were sore. That's good though, it means I should actually gain a little muscle.

It was quite incredible to see my stomach sticking out while standing - I've never seen that before! My stomach is SOOO big!

Anyway, not much else is going on! I guess I should write about the fact that my heart rate was kind of high so they tested me for hyperthyroidism. Of course, as always, I was one point outside of the normal range so they decided I had Grave's Disease. I started taking a medication, PTU, and the doctor's were happy because it seemed my heart rate was stabilizing. Then today they show up and say that they took another test and now I'm slightly hypothyrod. So they said I DON'T have Grave's Disease, and it must be something else. Yay, I guess! Now I get to stop taking PTU. So it means my heart rate being high and subsequently stabilizing has nothing to do with my thyroid and nothing to do with the medication.

Oh well, I'll write more later.
